Celebrating 20 years in China

November 11th, 2016, Cummins Generator Technologies, celebrated their 20 year anniversary of manufacturing in China. Marking this occasion, senior team leaders, Stephen Hopkins ' General Manager, Neil Hill ' Deputy General Manager, and Scott Strudwick ' Global Sales and Marketing Director unveiled the new STAMFORD S0 & S1 to over 100 guests in attendance.

The S0 & S1 alternators, first additions to the new S-Range, are targeted at the 7.5 to 62.5 kVA power range and to bring to arena the most compact and lightweight industrial alternators of its kind, primarily aimed at the global standby market.

A hosted tour was given of the XinRong and the Xiang Jiang manufacturing plants, which also included the new high-tech customer showroom, which showcases a holographic display and 3D printed alternators of the product range they offer.

Guests were also given a tour of the Training Room, a dedicated facility offering application and service training, which can host 4,200 customers for training each year covering 28 different courses. Practical courses are available too, featuring an AVR test room for troubleshooting and simulation experiments, to provide a platform to learn assembly techniques.

Scott Strudwick, Global Sales and Marketing Director said 'The 20th anniversary of Cummins Generator Technologies in China was an important milestone for us, and launching the new STAMFORD S0 and S1 alternators for China and the Asia Pacific is a fitting way to mark this occasion. Cummins Generator Technologies has worked in partnership with customers to develop the new user-friendly range of alternators, which have been designed to enable easier coupling, reducing generator-set assembly time by around 20%.'
