Celebrating 10 years of being 'Cummins Generator Technologies'

It may seem like yesterday that you knew us as Newage AVK, but this week marks ten years of being Cummins Generator Technologies.

Srikanth Padmanabhan, Managing Director at the time, made the rebranding announcement at our head office in Stamford, UK on 9th May 2006, alongside another former Managing Director Arun Bose and Jon Poznanski, Stamford's Deputy Mayor.

Whilst still manufacturing STAMFORD and AvK alternators and ensuring the service to our customers remained unaffected, we formally became part of the Cummins family in 2006 along with other acquisitions such as Holset turbochargers ' now Cummins Turbo Technologies.

Speaking at the time, Padmanabhan commented: 'Although our company name will change to Cummins Generator Technologies, our STAMFORD and AvK brands will remain and continue to stand for durability, reliability and global service capability as they have done since 1904. What will not change are the products and services we provide to our customers. I believe that the people we have makes all the difference. This, with the heritage we cherish and our appetite for profitable growth will continue to be the main driving force of our success."

Established in 1904, the company's long standing heritage is just one thing that sets us apart. During our history and being known by various company names, we've been an important part of the Stamford town through employment and local community initiatives. Today we're a global manufacturer of premium quality alternators with world class production facilities in the UK, Europe and Asia.
