STAMFORD VITA™ 05: Our next generation of digital voltage regulation

STAMFORD | AvK is pleased to introduce STAMFORD VITA™ 05, the latest Digital Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) in the STAMFORD VITA range.

Building on more than 120 years of STAMFORD^® and AvK^® expertise, STAMFORD VITA 05 represents the next stage in our digital AVR technology. It supports the transition from legacy MX AVRs to a modern, standardised digital platform with enhanced performance, functionality and familiar customer interfaces.

Stable, precise power delivery

STAMFORD VITA 05 delivers voltage regulation of up to ±0.25%, depending on alternator type and configuration.

Three-phase sensing is standard, supported by enhanced stability settings, 50/60 Hz frequency selection and AVR status outputs for clearer operating and fault information.

Enhanced monitoring and protection

Built-in Diode Failure Detection (DFD) provides additional monitoring of exciter diode conditions.

Four LED indicators provide visibility of key operating conditions including under-frequency operation, over-excitation and diode failure, supporting easier fault identification.

Designed for a straightforward transition

VITA 05 has the same footprint as STAMFORD | AvK MX321™ and MX322™ AVRs, with compatible mounting points for MX341™ and MX342™. Critical mounting hole centres remain aligned, helping minimise installation changes.

The move to a single digital platform also simplifies the AVR portfolio by bringing MX-range capabilities together within STAMFORD VITA 05.

Proven STAMFORD reliability

STAMFORD VITA 05 has undergone more than 75,000 hours of reliability validation and field testing. It is UL approved and marine classified, with variable-speed capability supporting a broad range of applications.

STAMFORD VITA 05 is fitted as standard on STAMFORD S6 and S7 products from 7 September 2026 and will become the default AVR for these products, and as an optional upgrade for STAMFORD S4, S5, UC22 and UC27. VITA 05 is also available as a standalone component through STAMFORD | AvK Authorised Dealers.

Customers are supported by the STAMFORD | AvK global aftermarket and service network in more than 120 countries, with a three-year warranty when VITA 05 is fitted as standard to STAMFORD S6 and S7 products.
