STAMFORD® alternators powering slopes of Alpine World Ski Championships 2021

72 VISA generator sets power the 2021 Alpine World Ski Championships with STAMFORD® alternators

Visa SpA, a leading Italian company, founded in 1960 manufactures high-tech generating sets and power stations ranging from 9 to 3,000 kVA. The company was the chosen provider to supply power for the Alpine World Ski Championships in Cortina d’Ampezzo, from 7 to 21 February 2021, for the spectacular races set against the sublime natural backdrop of the Ampezzo Valley, at the foot of the Tofane mountains.

A fleet of 72 gen-sets, which had been specially developed with a wide range of STAMFORD® alternators inside will deliver an overall output of 12,690 kVA power supply. Each set will be distributed in strategic points of the territory to ensure maximum safety energy flow in support of the electricity grid during this great international sporting event.
