Project Scope

When tasked with providing power for a floating pontoon, G&M EUROTEX faced the challenge of ensuring seamless, uninterrupted power for vessel maintenance operations. The floating pontoon required a robust, marine-certified genset capable of powering the essential tools and lighting systems, all while meeting stringent Lloyd’s Register certifications.

Solutions Development

For this project, STAMFORD | AvK supplied two STAMFORD UCM27, single bearing alternators, each providing 65kW (81.25 kVA) of power coupled to a Perkins 4.4 TWGM engine. Designed to withstand the rigours of a marine environment, the alternators feature advanced technical specifications including thermistors, a STAMFORD MX321™ AVR and a quadrature droop current transformer. With a 350-litre base fuel system and additional safety features like anti-condensation heaters, the gensets are fully equipped for high-stakes marine applications.

In line with industry regulations, the gensets, certified by Lloyd’s Register, ensure they meet the highest standards of performance and safety.
